Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information SlappX collects and how we use it. SlappX is a QR-based ordering service for local shops: a shop shows its menu through a QR code, customers order from their phone, and staff manage those orders. Questions? Email support@slappx.com.

Who this covers

SlappX is used by two kinds of people: shop owners and staff, who have accounts, and their customers, who order without creating an account. Each shop is the merchant you order from; SlappX provides the software behind it.

Information we collect

• Shop owners & staff: your name and email, a password (stored only as a secure hash, never in plain text), and the shop, menu, and pricing details you enter.
• Customers: SlappX does not require a login. When you open a shop’s page we store a random identifier in your browser so we can show you your own orders. We keep the items in each order you place. If you turn on “order ready” notifications, we store the push subscription your browser provides.
• Automatically: basic technical data such as request logs, needed to run and secure the service.

Payments

When you pay for an order in the app, the payment is processed by our gateway partner, Cashfree Payments, which collects the card, UPI, or bank details needed to complete it under its own privacy policy. SlappX does not receive or store your full payment credentials. We keep limited transaction details, such as an order reference, amount, and payment status, to show your order and to support refunds.

How we use information

To run the ordering loop (show menus, place orders, show order status), to send the “order ready” notifications you’ve opted into, and to keep the service secure.

Sharing

We do not sell your information. The details of an order are shared with the shop you order from so it can prepare it. We use service providers (for example, hosting, web-push delivery, and Cashfree Payments for payment processing) that process data on our behalf. We may disclose information where required by law.

Retention & your choices

• Account and shop data is kept while the shop is active.
• Push subscriptions that stop working are removed automatically.
• Clear your browser’s site data to remove the local identifier at any time.
• Turn notifications off in your browser whenever you like.
• Shop owners can request account deletion at support@slappx.com.

Children

SlappX is not directed at children.

We may update this policy and will revise the date above when we do.
